Allen Vaughan
General Manager
With over 35 years of experience in the foundry and manufacturing industry, Allen is a highly respected metallurgist and operations leader. He was previously the Co-owner and Operations Manager of Vaughan Castings, which, under his leadership, became Australia’s largest manufacturer of Mill Liners.
A well-known in the Chinese foundry industry, Allen has played a key role in establishing world-class foundries in China, ensuring high-quality production standards. His expertise extends to developing a unique audit system that monitors compliance and quality control across all Castech projects, reinforcing the company’s reputation for excellence.
Stojan Lemut
Senior Project Manager
Stojan has extensive experience in foundry and heat treatment metallurgy, and he holds a Bachelor of Metallurgical Engineering. Originally trained in Bosnia, he moved to Australia in 1996, earning qualifications in NDT and Weld Inspection.
Specialising in material analysis, he has expertise in spectrometers, ISO 9001 quality systems, and laboratory quality control. Since joining Castech Solutions in 2010, Stojan has successfully managed projects for Downer Rail Perth, Sydney Passenger Rail, UGL, Caterpillar, and Newcrest Mining, ensuring high-quality manufacturing solutions.
Bill Wu
Supplier Quality Manager
With two decades of hands-on experience in the foundry industry, Bill leads Castech's Inspection team in China.
He has played a significant role for more than 18 years as a skilled Foundry Engineer at Castech.
Bill studied at Tsinghua University, holds a global Non-Destructive Testing certification, and has training in ISO 9001.
He speaks English fluently, making communication seamless.
Alireza Mohammadi
Senior Project Manager
With a Master’s in Materials Engineering, a Bachelor’s in Metal Casting from Iran University of Science and Technology, and a Project Management Professional certification, Alireza has been sharing his expertise at Castech Solutions for over six years, ensuring smooth project execution and long-term client satisfaction.
With over 16 years of experience in project engineering and management, superalloy investment casting, and foundries, he brings strong project management skills and technical know-how.
Alireza has managed projects for clients like Alcoa, Queensland Alumina Limited, Metso, South32, Ausplow, and Hofmann Engineering, always focusing on building lasting customer relationships.
Silver Liu
Design Engineer
Silver is a skilled Draftsperson with a background in mechanical engineering and experience in the mining industry.
Since joining Castech Solutions, he has been responsible for creating detailed 3D models, drafting 2D drawings, and preparing industrial documentation to support manufacturing processes.
With both undergraduate and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Silver applies his expertise to deliver precise technical drawings and design solutions. As a member of Engineers Australia, he is committed to industry standards and continuous professional development.
Eve Mao
Expeditor / Office Manager
Having worked with Castech Solutions for the past 17 years, Eve plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations between Castech and its global manufacturing partners. Her expertise in business negotiation, office operations, and expediting helps streamline communication and vendor management.
She coordinates supplier timelines, implements project requirements, and ensures seamless execution of critical business functions.
Eve works closely with the Perth team, and maintains strong vendor relationships that improve lead times. She holds a bachelor's degree from Ningbo University and a College English Test Band 6 certification.
